1) You *must* edit the Settings.ini under option "vsync=y" to "vsync=n", otherwise the game will run in capped fps and be very slow compared to the usual Sonic experience one might be anticipating. Game plays in full speed on a PMAC 3.1 with FastMac 1.4Ghz, 2GB RAM, SSD, Radeon 9600XT 256MB AGP 2x, MorphOS 3.18, latest SDL and TinyGL as of 28/01/24), consuming around 80% CPU speed. Absolutely no lags whatsoever, offering a smooth and great gameplay session.

2) Strongly suggested to use a controller (download latest SDL2 and check the "extras" drawer for joypad calibration)

3) This is the 25th anniversary game of Sonic, professionally produced by SEGA and released recently, between 2017 and 2018 (latter for the "Plus" version). Development was driven by Sonic's hacking community, a game true to its roots: from the gamers to the gamers. Vibrant colors, awesome soundtrack, remixed levels, fantastic gameplay, many - many new features and tweaks. It still sells commercially for PS4, Switch and PC (Steam) as a AAA platform game. It is rated as the highest scoring Sonic game for the last 2 decades and considered by many (myself included) as probably the best of them all!

4) This port deserves a news item on morph.zone, amazing stuff :) Damn it, it is so good that also deserves a proper launcher :P
