============================================================================ GALENE - heart coherence breathing Version 1.0 ============================================================================
WHAT IT IS ---------- Galene guides heart coherence breathing: slow, regular breaths, usually six per minute, for a few minutes. Above a lake at dusk, a light grows while you breathe in and shrinks while you breathe out. Soft music and a small bell follow the same rhythm, so you can also close your eyes.
The usual way is the "365" method: 3 times a day, 6 breaths per minute, for 5 minutes.
Galene is free. It is a relaxation aid, not a medical device.
A SESSION --------- - Press Start and follow the light: breathe in while it grows, breathe out while it shrinks. The words above it say which, with the seconds left. - Rhythm: 4.5 to 7 breaths per minute. 6 is the usual one; it can be changed during a session. - Duration: 3, 5, 10 or 15 minutes. The time left shows at the bottom. - At the end, three notes ring and the light rests.
SOUND ----- - Music: soft notes that rise as you breathe in and fall as you breathe out, over a chord that swells and fades with you. - Bell: a high note to breathe in, a lower one to breathe out. - Volume: for both. Galene plays through AHI. Without it, the light still works.
FILES ----- Galene keeps its settings in its own drawer: Galene.prefs rhythm, duration, music, bell and volume
